Days+98,+99
Well the weather has taken a nose dive hasn’t it? It’s now Friday night and the wind is howling, the rain is beating down…..dear me…..lets hope it picks up for Simon and all the runners on Sunday.
The last couple of days here have been following the highs and lows pattern again. Thursday began well after a settled night. We found out quite early that Auntie Rachael wasn’t coming up after all so we needed to find something interesting to do! Ella did ….she went back to sleep until dinner time. Sally and I pottered about…did the washing etc and tried not to eat anything naughty. We even ate some fruit!!!!!!!!!!!!
I left for home after tea, and I know from talking to Sally later that Ella settled down eventually.
As you know Rachael is on a dress making course on Fridays and this week I’ve had the honour of looking after Sophie. I decided to go home Thursday night to have a good nights’ sleep, before she arrived. We had a lovely day together, and we even picked Max up from nursery so that he could join in the day too. ( it was the yellow peril at FHS Martin. Rachael and I swapped for the day.)
Today Ella has been for more investigations on her tummy, so she has needed another gastric tube, that went a bit deeper, before the dye was introduced. No results as yet though. She is such a good girl and so brave it makes you feel very humble.
I got back up here at tea time….just in time to hit the restaurant again. Chicken curry this time, and then Ella and I settled down to a quiet evening watching telly. Mummy has gone home to ‘Mummy’ Sam for a couple of days.
Oh, thank you Sally Ann for Ella’s lovely new top and book. It’s beautiful and we are looking forward to seeing it on….
We are going to finish now and get this posted. I’ve ‘had a bit bother’ trying to log on tonight, so I may have to wait until tomorrow morning to actually post it.
Night night to everyone and lots of love and thanks for all your good wishes and prayers.
Ella and Annette.xxx
PS Congratulations to Atsoi and Ian on the arrival of their new baby girl….Sophia…..and love to Chris as he becomes a Grandad for the first time.xxx
PPS I spoke to Simon today and he is looking forward to Sunday’s challenge. He is wearing his Everton shirt to run in, so if you catch the race you may be able to spot him on TV. I guess there won’t be that many Everton shirts around!

Hello Manchester - is it still raining there? It has been mad weather here today, one minute bright and sunny T-shirt weather, the next torrential downpours! We risked it at the continental market on Lord Street today - the rain saved us from spending an unneccessary fortune on cakes anyway!
ReplyDeleteOllie and Richie have their next ju jitsu grading on Sunday - they have been bribed to behave themselves during the tests with a trip to Argos afterwards, wearing their new 'yellow belts'. I'm sure Ollie will be fine - he is very sensible in such situations (just like his mother!!!!!) However Rich is another kettle of fish altogether! I will just have to go shopping to take my mind off the image I will have in my head of a little red-headed boy squirming at the side of the mat whilst the other children are demonstrating their moves! He tripped over Gordon's feet today and bashed his ear on the corner of the piano and it is still bright red and swollen. Oh yes, he also had a tremendous paddy today after he lost in a game we were all playing (Uno - have you tried it Ella? If not I will buy it for you!). One of the cards to play is that the next person has to pick up 4. Since the object of the game is to get rid of all your cards, Rich was extremely annoyed to say the least to have to do just that. He stormed off in a huff and wailed for an hour in his bedroom. Of course he thinks it is absolutely hilarious to put that card down himself for mummy or daddy to have to pick up 4 cards!
Anyway, I will have to go - its time to prepare for the international evening that we are having tonight in honour of Eurovision - well what I really mean is the boys are having an early night and we are having Spanish Paella with extra Swedish meatballs, Italian Olives and lots and lots of French red wine!!!!!!!!
Love you lots x x x x x x
ps oooooh did Liverpool not win the premiership - oh dear - ah what a shame for all you reds crying into your hot milk tonight - come on you bluuuuues wemberleeeeeeeeeee yippeeeeee fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Ella, I think bumpy & his friend may have had a special beauty treatment yesterday it's such a pity it didn't come a little earlier as our boiler blew up on friday so that ment that we had no heating or hot water untill late saturday...BURRR it was chilly, but the funiest part was nick standing in the bath at 7am saturday morning with me throwing jugs of hot water over him from the kettle so he could wash before driving of down south to a bike show(as in smelly nmortor bikes) thankfully the heating was back up & running for me to snuggle up with the cats & watch 27 dresses which was great with no rude comments from nick as to how it was a rubbish girly film & I had all the slimming popcorn to myself....luxury. loulou bunny is still not a 100% as she hasn't gone back to her tunnelling project but is back to playing in the green house a the odd nap in Nick's tomatoe pots where its nice & warm & out of the wind & awfull rain.this morning milly presented me with a long tailed furry present which I posted over into bill's garden next door as I feel sure he'll appreciate it more than I did. how brave was that of me, although I did have Nick's scootering gloves on perhaps I should keep that one to myself; Reading your blog from yesterday you have yet again risen to all that is thrown at you & have been so very brave, you are truly a star ella Bella & we are so very proud of you. your welcome for the book & top, even tho it doesn't open all the way down the shoulder has a popper so as to make it easy to get on. sending you huge rainbow wishes & even bigger fairy kisses Love Sallyanne, Nick & loulou Bunny X X X
