Day +14

We are going to confuse you all today and start the blog at the end of the day! It's peaceful and quiet and Ella is fast asleep. She is looking very cosy, surrounded by teddies and a nice warm 'snuggly'. She is having a well earned rest, with pain relief in her line.

The highlight of the day came when Daddy and Sam came to visit, about 6.oopm. Ella had been looking forwards to them coming and although she didn't feel like joining in, she did few manage smiles and a few laughs at Sam's antics.

Sam had made her some goodies today, and couldn't wait to give them to his big sister. They now have pride of place in the Sylvanian village.

He was full of beans, even after a full day at Holiday Club. He was playing on the Wii almost before he had his coat off, and finding that Ella was too tired to play, he chose me as his next victim to beat. He really is very skillful.

We have had a few 'goes' today at different activities..........mosaics, computer games and GREASE. The mosaics must have a million pieces to stick on. We have managed the first 50, so we are on the way! One of the most successful half hours was just to listen to a story and fall off to sleep. I can recommend "Sophie, the Saphire Fairy" for a mid morning nap and "Ella ,the Rose Fairy" at bedtime. Sally was well away before the end of both.

Looking back over the day, we have both agreed that Ella has needed the time to recharge her batteries. She is finding the naso gastric tube a real challenge, along with the hair loss.
Mr Wynn was very positive when he came today. He checked Ella over, as usual, and told her that he is very pleased with her. He said for her ( and us ) to " keep our chins up " and low days are only to be expected after such a massive proceedure. SO THERE!
